Style It: The Country Gilet

Our very first garment, the Burgundy Moleskin & Tweed Country Gilet is sure to be one of those staple garments that you throw on to complete an outfit; perfect for those 'too warm for a coat, too cold for no extra layer days'. If you're wondering how to style it, or just how to combine it with your other clothes (country or not) then read on...
So the great thing about this gilet, is that it really can be worn for any occasion.
If you're going for spot of shopping, meeting up with the girls or even just heading out for a wee stroll, you can easily dress it down with a simple pair of jeans (like I've done in the above pic) and wellies, or casual ankle boots with a mini heel if you feel comfortable. A plain knitted jumper looks great layered underneath too, or just a simple fitted top to keep the attention on the gilet. Dog walkers; wellies go perfectly. Although saying that I don't think there's anything they don't go with... Here I've paired it with light ripped jeans and brown ankle boots. I've kept things colourful and casual, perfect for a Spring date!
Now if you're attending a slightly more classier and formal event than a date with the dogs in the park, then you can also put on a white shirt or jumper, black jeans/trousers and black heeled boots for much more of a sleeker look. Paired with a high pony and lippy you'll have the country-professional look nailed.
To accessorise pair with our multi pink bobble hat (the colours go beautifully) and a matching maroon handbag.
